Well, as we enter our 7th or 8th week, how are you all doing? Are you frustrated, famished, feelin' a little lonely or finally getting to the point of no return? And by that I mean, have you made the DECISION to finally let go of girth and fully embrace this healthier new direction. I know we've been cranky, and for those in the midwest (capello and miss oil cloth) downright friggin' cold. Or we've been out of sorts with our seasonal, localized diet plan that includes plenty of chard but no citrus (poor, poor Angelina). Or pushed to newer fitness horizons while trying not to bake ourselves into a frenzy (that means you, Miss Lisa). Or romping around the yard with babe in arms (c'est toi, Dominique) or, in my case, sick as a dog with the flu for a week, only to crawl out of the gutter on Monday, and bake a huge pan of brownies Wednesday, only to regret it AFTER I ate about a cup of batter (but God was it GOOD!)
Well, February is almost gone, and I for one am HAPPY to let it go! This month was chock full of disappointment and flu-ishness. I turned 37 (now I'm OFFICIALLY closer to the big 4 0 than I have ever been and I'm not exactly thrilled about it), my husband and I have been married for 8 years, and not all have been happy, as is the case now that we're finally going to marriage counseling (I'm not sure that's a good thing) and for the last three weeks, at least one of us has been hacking our brains out and groveling with the flu (except Sophie, she NEVER gets sick).
Oh, and one last thing I can say good riddance to and that's...
11.2 pounds, baby!! Yeah!!!! Good riddance you fat fuckin' losers, you can't crawl off my ass, too soon!!!!!!

God, that feels good! I admit that the flu probably gave me that extra bit of help I needed to break the 10 pound barrier but it's gone and I say, Hallelujah!!! I have made my goal of losing at least 5lbs per month, and I'm estatic! I probably won't be able to keep that up but at least 4 pounds a month is a good average. I now weigh, 168.6 pound-eroonis and if I keep up the 4 pounds per month, by the time my sister-in-law gets married AGAIN, I could be about 145 lbs. That would be fuckin' dreamy! And I'm feelin' it! I'm ready to let it all go! (the weight, that is, not my morals or common sense. I will NOT be sportin' Daisy Dukes just because I'll have a tight fuckin' LITTLE ass, no siree.)
ANYWAY...I took the advice of all those self-appointed WW meeting leaders (grumble grumble, don't get me started on those LOSERS) and treated myself to a Mac-fantasy (Gerard Butler, on rye with a big hunk of butter spread all over his c.....) Oops, I meant I got my eyebrows waxed, oh and my lip too, cause lord knows that just because I'm nearly 40 doesn't mean I have to start sportin a 'stache like all my other French-Canadian female relatives (yuck)But I'm ready. I'm in the ZONE, as they say. I'm on it. I'm losin' this weight. There is no stopping me. Look out, sistas, don't slip! It's practically FALLIN' off my ass............
*Yes, that was a very gratuitous shot of my newly arched eyebrow.

OOOH, I WANNA SCREAM IN HUGE TYPE TOO! Do you know, I think you've just motivated me a little bit more!
Do you have any idea how proud I am of you!!? SO PROUD!!!
Love this post, lady.
Your eyes, as usual, are gorgeous and those eyebrows are incredible.
Mega eyebrow envy. But I've always had that for you.
woo hoo! god, that's awesome!
Wowza! I think that's awesome. Keep it up. Even if you gain a bit back after your illness, you'll still doing good.
Now, your eye doesn't look how I imagined it would. Not that I only imagined your eye, but when you have an image of somebody that you've never met, you do have to kind of imagine all their features together.
Rock on sister!!!! You're totally making me smile and want to work my ass off too! Hmmm, and maybe get an eyebrow wax in too....
