The non-progress report

No progress. Hopefully I haven't slipped backwards. I have been absolutely not on my wagon to success as I have been hopelessly distracted by house stuff: putting an offer on a house I am smitten with. The good news is that if I get to move to a house I could actually like living in then it will be easier to concentrate on the other things I need to be concentrating on. Like not being fat.

I'm way too scared to step on the scale. Seriously. Not gonna happen today. Maybe tomorrow. Don't worry though my wonderful friends, I have not abandoned this road. Not at all. It is still just the beginning and I'm still very motivated to stay on track. So we'll just call this week-end a brief detour and if I get to change houses, we'll call it the beginning of new hope.

Because my current house has really depressed me and stressed me out from the beginning.

So, Today is a new day and will involve calorie counting, working for some money, and maybe even a walk with the dog.

So come on, I want to hear from all of you. I know you're all out there. Michelle is floating around mysteriously, Laura may be dying of various diseases, Dominique is probably changing diapers, Lisa is not baking anything, and Chelsea is recovering from a week-end getaway. Fill in the details for me ladies!!!

Me too! I've been wondering how everyone else is. And technically, I have been baking less. I did make sugar cookies for Valentine's Day cookie decorating last week, but I've been really, really good lately on the baking thing.

I did end up weighing myself and I'm very happy to say that I haven't gained any back. I haven't lost any either, but that doesn't worry me so much.

Good for you on the not baking as much.

WAIT...youre moving? What? I'm confused.

Anyway, I think we all want to see the numbers go down every week and in reality, they seem to move at a glacial pace*. I mean, when I weighed in last week I lost all of 4 ounces. Puh-leeease! I did have my period so I don't feel bad about it. And, I have been pretty dedicated to talkng walks and keeping the portions under control (with the exception of my It's It frenzy...anyway). So, though I barely budged the scale, I have been noticing how my clothes fit. And it is my un-trained opinion that we will notice our shape changing EVER so gradually before we drop 10 pounds, so, what I'm saying is, you're doing fine. Chin up, keep control of your portions, get your H2O, and make sure you walk the dog.

*I guess the term "glacial pace" might be inaccurate with the global warming thing going on.
