Been gone too long.

Hello dearies!!!
First off, I have to say that I'm impressed with all the progress everyone has made. AND that fact that we've stuck with it this long! I know I sound like a broken record but I'm just tickled that I haven't jumped off the wagon by now. Normally my ass would be on my couch eating Ben and Jerry's and crying about the fact that I'm fat. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm still eating the Ben and Jerry's just now at a reasonable hour (before 7pm) which means small people continually ask for bites. And then demand bigger ones when I skimp. I guess they're just trying to help me lose the weight. Well, at least that's how I'm going to look at it.

Since it's March 1st, I'll go a head with my weigh-in. As of this morning, I weigh 185. That's a total of 12 pounds so far with 48 to go. And damn, it feels good. Also here's my monthly picture, to keep me honest and to remind me that the weight lost is a good start but by no means any reason to get cocky.

My goals for this month are:

- Write here more. Being a part of the Fatass Watercooler has really inspired me and made me feel less alone. I'd better show that by contributing more.

- Go to the gym at least 15 times this month. And walk for 40 minutes each time. I met my February goal of working out and for this month I feel that 15 is doable.

- Increase the water intake. That has been the hardest for me and I think I'm going to have to break down and journal about it. I just have to figure out how to change the way I view what I drink.

- I'm going to bring my lunch to work at least 3 days a week. Gah, that's going to be a hard one. Not only because it requires that I be prepared and plan ahead but I also sit in a windowless little office and not leaving all day makes me kind of nutty. But instead of driving to get lunch, I can take a mid-day walk now that the weather is a little nicer.

Okay, that's good for now.

Congrats again to everyone for doing such a great job!!! I'm hella impressed with us!

Yeah, you're Back!!! And, you're looking GOOD girl!!

Congrats on making the gym goal. I'm really impressed!! There's no way we're going to lose the volume of weight (I have at least 38 pounds more to go...but it doesn't seem so overwhelming now, Thank God!)

I know how hard it is to pack a lunch and sit in a dismal space during lunch...but you'll be able to control your food batter AND save some moula for an eyebrow wax.

Keep up the good work, you are re-inspiring me and then maybe I'll post more of me on here, instead of just an eyebrow!!!

Duh, I never finished my first sentence!

As I was sayin'..."There is no way we're going to lose the VOLUME of weight WITHOUT going to the gym or making a concerted effort to work out at home. It's just the facts, oh and watching what we eat, too.

I am so happy to hear that you are still sticking with your efforts and not only that that you have lost 12 pounds! That's a really nice chunk of fat that no longer hangs on your frame and it must feel so good!

I'm really proud of you and obviously I look forward to hearing from you here more often.

I think it's time I broke through the ten pound mark. That's such a hard one for me but everyone here has either done it or is coming close to it.

Good job, that's fabulous progress. I was wondering how you were doing.

I'm still having problem with my water intake as well. In fact, I think I'll go take a drink right now.
